Hexentanz

Hexentanz
so such dich doch frei im Zaubersein
so tauch doch mutig gar gänzlich ein
dann kannst du nahe alles sehen
manch Geheimnis auch verstehen
lausch doch am Feuer den alten Mären
willst du zu deiner Kindheit heimkehren
heiterer erscheint dann dein Leben
und neue Wunder wirst du weben
---
Dance of the Witches
old tales whisper in the treetops
old songs whisper over peaks
old times reverberate in the valley
old traces immortalized in the forest hall
to dance they rise again and again
the hidden creature‘s limbs
be it Urian in a witches shape
who rages on the rock without rest
be it a fairy or even a dwarf
there in the thicket or under the mountain
our ghosts of the past
endure thus for all time
as long as we remember them
they will twist themselves in the shades
so free yourself in this magic
boldly immerse yourself completly
so you can see everything close up
and understand some secrets too
listen to the old tales by the fire
if you want to go back to your childhood
your life will appear brighter to you
and new wonders you will weave

Das Tal

|

The Valley
Surrounded by the deepest green gorges
a quiet valley rests in the shallow morning light.
Where the wild waters once searched for paths,
dark fir trees line up close together.
And only a trickle remained of the former river.
At its edge there is still an old house
whose mill wheel never has to turn again.
Because the milling business has long since ended.
Some legends are entwined around the mill,
which seems to be completely abandoned in the forest.
In the dense fog, the coolness of the morning,
where otherwise no birdsong blows.
Dense dust covers the chairs in the chamber,
the ancient grind is brittle and deserted.
It’s been a long time since the last miller boy
Left here with his seven belongings.
Only the numerous stories remained here
in the enchanted walls, in the deep valley.
They tell of the miller and his greed,
his wealth of money that he once stole.
He was in league with the devil,
and death itself was to be his drunkard.
And many other infernal creatures
went in and out of there at night.
Only hikers still get lost here,
they linger to rest in this dark place.
You don’t see anything of prosperity anymore.
But it is said to still be haunted there at night.
So you have already seen many a miracle and also spirit
in the abandoned walls, by the brook.
Especially if you travel at midnight,
you better take care of yourself there.

Freiwandel

|

Freiwandel
Gedanke wird Wunsch
Wunsch wird Wille
aus Wille wird Drang
Drang wird Handlung
die Kraft, sie entströmt
des Herzens Stille
aus dem Gang wird Lauf
Lauf wird Sprung
das Sein wird Freiheit
wird zum eignen Ich
aus Berührung wird
Tasten Drücken Stich
nur wer will kann sein
doch du musst handeln
denn nur so allein
kannst du frei wandeln
---
Freewalk
thought becomes wish
wish becomes will
will becomes urge
urge becomes deed
the power, it emenates
the calm of the heart
walk becomes run
run becomes jump
to be turn to freedom
becomes one’s own self
touch becomes
groping pressing sting
only those who want can be
but you must act
because that’s the only way
you can walk freely

Flammentanz

Flammentanz
in mir erwacht Feuer
es glüht und entflammt
ein uraltes Ungeheuer
aus mir stammt
dereinst lang Vergessenes
ist nun entfacht
dereinst lang Verborgenes
entspringt der Nacht
strebe ...
rege ...
gehe ...
lebe ...
... Flammen tanzet
ersonnen ...
erdacht ...
ersponnen ...
erwacht ...
neues Leben durch Flamme
neues Streben im Geist
durch Flur und durch Tanne
meine Freiheit reist
Flammentanz
in Dunkelheit
Segenskranz
auf Lebenszeit
---
Dance of the Flames
fire awakens in me
it glows and ignites
an ancient monster
descends from within me
what was once long forgotten
is now kindled
what was once hidden
arises from the night
strive …
stir …
go …
live …
… flames, dance!
conceived …
thought …
spun …
awakened …
new life through flame
new striving in spirit
my freedom travels through
fields and through fir trees
dance of the flames
in darkness
wreath of blessing
for lifetime

Eisnacht

Eisnacht
Die Luft war gefroren gestern Nacht.
Eiskristalle flimmerten im Mondlicht.
Geisterhaftes Blau malte das Tal.
Das Moor lag schwarz und schlafend.
Verdammte Wesen schlichen frierend
durchs geästete Dickicht und Schatten.
Dornen stachen Wunden ins Fleisch.
Äste peitschten kalte Haut zu Striemen.
Frost regierte das Land,
stach mit tausend Nadeln durch die Luft.
Der Augen Tränen waren erstarrt.
Stumme Perlen des Schmerzes und der Angst.
Die Welt ist noch immer gefroren.
Der Tag ist kriechend erwacht.
Eiszapfen hängen vom Gehölz.
Das Land, die Aue, das Moor ... zu Eis.
Unter weißem Tuch liegen Schemen.
Dunkelheit und Kälte zwangen sie nieder.
Starr und eisig und tot ... die Herzen.
Das Land bedeckt mit strahlendem Leichentuch.

ice night
The air was frozen last night.
Ice crystals shimmered in the moonlight.
Ghostly blue painted the valley.
The moor lay black and asleep.
Damned creatures crept freezing
through the branched thickets and shades.
Thorns pricked flesh.
Branches whipped cold skin into welts.
Frost ruled the land,
pierced the air with thousand needles.
The tears of the eyes were frozen.
Dumb pearls of pain and fear.
The world is still frozen.
The day is creeping awake.
Icicles hang from the trees.
The country, the floodplain, the moor … to ice.
There are schemes under a white cloth.
Darkness and cold forced them down.
Stiff and icy and dead … the hearts.
The land covered with a radiant shroud.

Nebelmoor
Seltsam ist’s im Moor zu wandern,
von einem Sein zum andern.
Das Morgen ist fern von hier.
Das Gestern ist ein Teil von mir.
Schleieraugen wecken den Traum.
Ich wandle durch der Fantasie Raum.
Einst gelebte Momente scheinen,
wenn Seelen in Ruhe weinen.
Schon vergessen sind Tod und Flucht,
Leben wird irgendwann zur Sucht.
Ich krall mich fest an diesem Steg
und kenne weder Ziel noch Weg.
Seltsam ist’s in Seelen zu wandern,
von einem Gefühl zum andern.
Verlier mich im Dunkel und tauch‘ ein,
im immer währenden Sein.

Misty Moor
It's strange to walk in the moor,
from one being to another.
Tomorrow is far from here.
Yesterday is a part of me.
Hazy eyes awaken the dream.
I walk through fantasy space.
Moments once lived seem
when souls cry in peace.
Death and flight have already been forgotten,
At some point, life becomes an addiction.
I cling tightly to this footbridge
and know neither destination nor way.
It's strange to wander in souls,
from one feeling to another.
Lose myself in the dark and dive in,
in everlasting being.

Hirtenfeuer

Hirtenfeuer

Sheperd’s Fire
A lonely sheperd’s fire still burns
on the dark heath in the night.
Its smoke rises gray to the stars,
to the old moon that keeps watch in secret.
A young man is sitting there in the tall grass,
his little sister is resting softly next to him.
Since time forgot to wake them both,
they linger in the warm glow of the fire.
A bird flies quietly from distant branches
up towards the sky.
And the wind familiarly blows
a lullaby across the misty moor.
